Jennie’s Coaching Style

So, you are considering Personal Coaching, Group Coaching, and/or doing a 180° Session, but you are also still trying to figure out whether or not The Audacity Coach is the right choice for you – am I right? Here’s the 411…

What is “Coaching” anyway?

Surely you’ve heard of life coaching or executive coaching by now. The International Coach Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” This is what all of the coaches in the world (myself included) do for a living, but that’s about all we have in common. There are tons of “woo-woo” life coaches out there that I don’t want to be compared to. These are the coaches who are eager to share with you their list of coaching certifications and guide you through their coaching textbook’s process of getting in touch with your inner you. Then there are those coaches who all read the same book – usually on some spiritual mumbo-jumbo – that spout off the same simplistic advice as each other. There are also countless numbers of executive coaches who help snappy/savvy execs become even snappier/savvier mucky-mucks! That is so not my scene!

How to Decide if We Mesh…

First, I ONLY work with my peeps – highly motivated college students and high potential 20- and 30-something young professionals who want to get unstuck and start driving their careers forward. My peeps are rarely chasing a job title, rather they are seeking a career path that makes them feel alive. If this doesn’t describe you, I’d be happy to refer you to someone else who specializes in your stuff. Second, I’m the coach that really pushes you to stop asking “why” things are the way they are and start doing something about it. I will show you how to turn your ideas into action immediately. If “why” is a question you want to spend a lot of time on, get a therapist or a woo-woo coach. And third, by working with me, you will finally figure out what you really want to do with your life and start NOW! I help my peeps feel more confident, find some direction, build resilience, and get directly into action. If you are not prepared to make some big changes and take some big leaps forward ASAP, then I’m not the coach for you. Keep on googling. Here’s the bottom line: Audacity is the ONLY ingredient you need to lead a successful career and fabulous life. What I am… (or Is Jennie the perfect coach for me?)

I’m relentlessly honest. I drink my own Kool-Aid. I promise you that the people who surround me hold me to a very high standard – especially when it comes to taking my own advice. I cut to the chase. I don’t believe in tiptoeing around your stuff – you don’t have time for tiptoeing. I believe that you have more inside than you are currently sharing with the world (commonly referred to as untapped potential). I also believe that your potential is blocked by nonsense, or as Ms. Niecy Nash of Style’s Clean House would call it, “mayhem and foolishness.” I have no patience for mayhem or foolishness – and neither should you. You deserve better. My calling is to help you get past your foolishness and bring forth your awesomeness. I’ll gladly give my humble opinion on most anything.

What I’m not… (or Should I keep looking on Google for a different coach?)

I’m not cute. There are no adorable cartoony things on my website to make Audacity more palpable and cuddly. I’m a little more in-your-face than that. I abhor the gospel-by-the-book-of-the-week style of coaching and preaching. I’m not a person who espouses magical thinking. I’m the chic to call when you’re tired of waiting for your “abundance” thinking to “manifest” your wish list. I’m the chic to call when you are done listening to the “secrets” from other people who read from the same book. I’m the chic to call when you have had enough handholding and are ready to claim the life you want.
