Why Jennie
I’m Jennie Mustafa-Julock (“Smith” was taken), The Audacity Coach.
Why work with me? Because I’m the poster-child of Audacity! Since birth, I’ve challenged the world around me: I refuse to color within the lines, stay inside the box, or play by the rules. Instead, I’m driven to craft a career and life that suits me and only ME! But I do so in a way that not only leaves room for others to prosper along side me, but encourages them to do so. Basically, I aim to make a big, Moxielicious splash in everything I do!
My Audacity Coaching practice now in it’s fourth year (a.k.a. Live Audaciously) has helped some of the most brilliant young professionals around catapult their lives into the next level of awesomeness. I am invaluable to many of my coaching clients by being a trusted advisor with attitude. I’m someone they can turn to when life knocks them around and someone they can celebrate their wins with.
I’m a rock star professional speaker, too! I’m funny, entertaining, serious when I need to be, and deeply, deeply empathetic to the frustrations of this generation…my generation! I drink my own Kool-Aid and share my triumphs and failures openly. I’m a gifted storyteller armed with a pile of both moving and hysterical stories from my coaching clients and friends (and my own life) that help drive a point home. Meeting planners, I’m totally the person you need to knock some sass into your audience. Call me!
I’m completely authentic about who I am and who I am not. I don’t jump on trendy self-help bandwagons, yet my message is very timely and on point. I don’t tell people how to live their lives (it’s not that kind of Audacity), but I help them get in touch with their inner Moxie so they can drive their lives forward full throttle. My style is empowering without being fluffy, engaging without being cutesy, and in-your-face without being threatening. In a nutshell, I ask not why things are the way they are, but rather “what are you going to do about it?” I’m not a person who espouses magical thinking. I’m the chic to call when you’re tired of waiting for your “abundance” thinking to “manifest” your wish list. I’m the chic to call when you are done listening to the “secrets” from other people who have all read from the same book. I’m the chic to call when you have had enough handholding and are ready to claim the life you want!
I’ve got the goods (you know, the resume-worthy professional experience and credentials) to back up my expertise. Care to know all the gory details? Read the longer bio here.
Otherwise, here’s the important stuff: I currently live in New York City, but have also lived in Boston, Washington, DC, Florida, and Ohio. I’m legally married to the most amazing woman on the planet. I have two cats named Isabelle and Virgil. My favorite foods are french toast, blueberry pancakes, and pretty much anything else you can pour Vermont maple syrup on. My favorite possessions are my bright orange Electra Townie bike, my iPhone, my cocktail shaker, and my Barbra Streisand record collection. I’m fluent in English and American Sign Language. I’m a Mac, not a PC. I am allergic to peanut oil, terrified of fireworks, and regard smoking as the most repugnant habit on the planet. I absolutely love attending the theater, biking in Central Park, going out for brunch, and gazing at water fountains. Above all things, I love my wife, my family, and the Boston Red Sox.
